Golf Advice for Beginners

The number one piece of golf advice for beginners is to know that practice doesn’t make perfect.  Everyone tells you that growing up, so you think you just have to keep showing up and everything is going to work out fine, but that’s not the case.  Practice makes permanent. If you practice like crap, you’ll play like crap too. It’s important to learn the correct swing path and techniques early on so that you can ingrain the appropriate golf swing and habits upfront. It’s much more difficult for people to unlearn things. Buy a real set of golf clubs with 14 clubs in the bag. Make sure it has a driver, woods, irons, wedges, and a putter. Then, head over to your local course and sign up for a few lessons with the golf pro. They’ll help you start from scratch and learn faster.
