Concrete Contractor Turned Golf Pro at 28 years Old

Perry Williamson, the half-brother of Jake Anderson, and the co-owner of Florida-based concrete service business Jacksonville Pool Decks, has joined the PGA tour at 28 years old. Perry grew up with Jake in the mid-90’s, working as unofficial contractors under their father’s construction company. From a very young age, this duo learned to design custom walkways on CAD software, prepare ready-mix concrete, and lay stamped concrete walkways for both residential and commercial properties all over Jacksonville. They even refinished pool decks for several local hotels. From Lavilla to Southbank, Perry and Jake helped their father with installing pre-cast support beams for the I-95 bridge and sidewalks for the EverBank Stadium and Mathews Bridge, as well as resurfacing nearly 1,500 pool decks in a 4 year span between 2002 and 2005. On off-days, Perry would practice golf at the Frist Tee of North Florida, located at 1157 Golfair Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32209. Monday to Friday, Perry repaired concrete flatwork. But on the weekends, he was at the golf range hitting balls for hours a day. With the help of the local golf professional, Perry honed his skills and begun winning local tournaments. After years of practice, his family finally convinced him to try for Q-School. He succcesfully made it through the trials and is not a full member with a PGA tour card. Given his background, his story is beyond impressive, and we wish him the best of luck going forward. Perry’s golfing career looks bright and is sure to bring attention to the Jacksonville Pool Decks brand as well.
